Application Timeline
DECEMBER
FULL DISCLOSURE
All grade 11 and 12 courses will appear on an Ontario student's transcripts. All attempts at courses will be recorded on the transcript. Courses dropped more than 5 days after the midterm report will be assigned a "W" and a mark on the transcript. The statement provided by the Ontario Universities council on Admissions is as follows:
"Ontario universities support the full disclosure of all marks achieved in all attempts at a secondary school course. In its literature, each university should state clearly how it will treat repeated course marks in considering students".
IT IS UP TO YOU TO CHECK EACH UNIVERSITY'S POLICY ON REPEATED COURSES.
- you are strongly advised to complete your application
- verification forms/acknowledgement letters are sent out
- log on to your account to check your information
- deadline for students applying to university to submit online applications to OUAC
- deadline for students applying to college
- applications must be received by Feb. 1st to ensure equal consideration
- college applications will still be accepted after this date, but only processed on a first-come, first-served basis
- recommended last date for students to submit all info to OUAC including university and program changes
- this is not a deadline, changes will be accepted and processed by OUAC at any time
- school forwards electronic date files (including final 1st semester marks) to OCAS
- school forwards your electronic data files (including final 1st semester marks) to OUAC
- earliest date for the first release of admission decisions by the colleges
- school forwards your electronic data files to OUAC and OCAS
- (mid-semester 2nd semester)
- Ontario Universities begin making early conditional offers of admission including scholarships, student assistance, residence
- earliest date by which Ontario universities may require a response to an offer of admission from an Ontario secondary student
- the earliest date colleges can require a response from an applicant
- date by which all secondary school applicants shall expect a response from an Ont. university. Such a response will be one of 1) offer of admission, 2) refusal, 3)deferral
- earliest date at which an Ont. university may require a financial commitment
- final marks are sent to OUAC/OCAS
