November:  Grade 8 Class Visits
Teachers from Banting will be visiting grade 8 classes from Banting's elementary feeder schools to talk about the upcoming visit to High School.  

December:  Picture Yourself at Banting
Grade 8 classes from Banting's elementary feeder schools visit Banting.  Students will have an opportunity to hear from student leaders, tour our school, explore the variety of extra-curricular activities available at Banting and learn more about the electives they can choose from for grade 9.  
Monday December 12th: Alliston Union, Adjala, Tosorontio and Ernest Cumberland
Wednesday December 14th: Boyne River, Tottenham, Tec. Beeton, Tec. South and Cookstown

Class of 2027 Open House
Thursday January 19th:  Banting Grade 8 Student & Families 
Banting doors will be open on Thursday January 19th from 6:00 - 7:30 pm for tours of the school.  This event will give Grade 8 students and their families a chance to come into Banting and see the opportunities that await them at high school next fall.  The inclement weather date is: Tuesday January 24th.  


February - March :  Course Selection Process
Banting's Student Success Teacher/Guidance Counsellors will visit grade 8 classes to assist students in making their course selections for grade 9. 

August:  Orientation Day with Link Crew- specific date TBA
This is a great day to meet your senior student mentor; participate in fun getting to know you activities; learn tips on how to be successful in high school; pick up your timetable; meet some teachers and have a great lunch with your new peers.  Details will follow in the late spring.
